Image file conversion
Most image files can be converted to one of the accepted file formats using either Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Paint. If you do not have either or these programs or your current file format is not supported, check the save file options in the image software that you use for one of the compatible formats.
 

Using Adobe Photoshop

1) Open your image file using Adobe Photoshop
2) Under the 'File' menu, click 'Save As'
3) From the 'Format' pull down menu select either .JPG or .GIF and click 'Save'
4) Your file should now be in a compatible format
  Using Microsoft Paint

1) Open your image file using Microsoft Paint
2) Under the 'File' menu, click 'Save As'
3) From the 'Save as type' pull down menu select either JPEG or GIF and click 'Save'
4) Your file should now be in a compatible format

 

Text file conversion
Most text files can be saved in one of the formats compatible with Journal Prep's system using the program that created the text file. Alternatively, many text files can be opened in Microsoft Word or another word editing program even if it has been created using other software. Once open, the file can be saved in one of the compatible formats. Instructions on how to do this using Microsoft Word follow. The steps to accomplish the conversion are similar using other programs.
 

Using Microsoft Word

1) Open your text file using Microsoft Word
2) Under the 'File' menu, click 'Save As'
3) From the 'Save as type' pull down menu select .DOC, .DOCX, or .RTF and click 'Save'
4) Your file should now be in a compatible format
